Marc Horowitz Joins Invidasys as Executive Vice President of Business Development
Healthcare software solutions company welcomes industry IT veteran
MESA, Ariz. – Invidasys (www.invidasys.com), a leading provider of enterprise cloud technology solutions for healthcare payer and provider organizations, has hired healthcare IT veteran Marc Horowitz as Executive Vice President of Business Development. In his role, Horowitz will be responsible for business development and corporate strategy.
Horowitz has more than 30 years of experience working with leading healthcare IT companies, and has extensive industry knowledge and expertise in clinical applications and in managing controlled medical vocabularies. As co-founder of Health Language, now part of Wolters Kluwer Health, he played an integral part in helping healthcare payers and providers implement enterprise-wide medical terminology interoperability. He is credited with establishing Health Language as the global leader in medical terminology management solutions, including software, services, and content.
In addition to co-founding Health Language, Horowitz served two terms as chairman of the Affiliate Forum for the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO), owner of the widely used SNOMED CT medical terminology. He has also served as the group business development director for iSOFT Group PLC (now part of Computer Sciences Corp.), a provider of software applications for patient information management. In 1991 Horowitz helped create Healthcare Communications Inc. (HCI), known for its Cloverleaf healthcare IT solution.
